Our Exams Officer, Rachael Worral, is here to help you achieve your goals and get the best results in your IELTS exam. She will guide you from the start to the end of your course and is your go-to person for all your IELTS preparation needs.

Rachael works closely with teachers and academic management to make sure you have the right support. She will give you tools, feedback, and advice to help you feel confident and ready for your exam.

Here’s how Rachael can help:

First Week IELTS Induction: She runs an induction session to show you how to get the most from your classes and extra resources as well as how to study in the best way.
Exam Progress Tracking: Rachael records your starting point grade (if you haven’t done an exam, she’ll set a practice exam for you in school) and keeps track of your practice exam scores during the course so you know what is improving and what needs more help.
Personal Support: Rachael sets up private Tutorial Chats on Teams, so you, your teachers, and academic management can easily share important information about your study.
Writing Practice and Feedback: Each week, Rachael posts optional IELTS writing tasks and gives detailed feedback to help you improve.
IELTS Clubs and Drop-Ins: She runs weekly IELTS Clubs and Drop-In sessions where you can practise, ask questions, and get personalised advice for your exam.
In-Class Tutorials: Rachael organises monthly tutorials to give you extra help in the classroom and manage your learning.

Course material	All materials are supplied during classes. Book purchase is not compulsory. A course book will be provided free of charge for courses of 8 weeks or more. A course book can be purchased for £40.00 for classes of 1-7 weeks.

  If you’re visiting Manchester for the first time and looking for an English language school, I highly recommend this one. The teaching is excellent and easy to understand, and the staff are friendly. The service is great, and you get the chance to meet students from various countries and learn about different cultures. As someone who used to struggle with grammar, I’ve seen significant improvement since studying here and feel much more confident communicating while living in an English-speaking country.   My experience at IH Manchester was excellent. I took an intensive English course with five hours of lessons a day, and I am very happy with both the quality of the teaching and the support I received. The teachers were excellent, the classes were engaging, and all the staff were friendly, helpful and genuinely attentive to the students’ needs. The school also organises social activities, trips and events, which give students the opportunity to practise English outside the classroom, explore Manchester and meet people from all over the world. I came to Manchester to improve my English, but I am leaving with so much more: greater confidence, international friendships and many wonderful memories.
