IELTS in Manchester

Our IELTS courses in Manchester will help give you confidence to get the score that you deserve in the IELTS.

Getting a good IELTS score can be difficult. IH Manchester has helped hundreds of students to get the IELTS score they need. Our teachers specialise in preparing students for the exam. They understand the exam well and know exactly how to help you succeed.
You CAN do this!

At IH Manchester, we believe that success in IELTS starts with the basics. Excellent teachers, strong teacher–student relationships, and a well-structured course are essential.

Our teachers focus on clear communication, practical exam skills, and helping each student understand how to improve. Lessons are structured, purposeful, and designed to build confidence step by step.

How we help you to achieve the IELTS score you need:

1. Dedicated IELTS Exams Officer Supporting You Throughout Your Course

You always know your level and what you need to do next. You are not left guessing about your progress.

From your first week, you receive a clear study plan and IELTS induction. Your progress is tracked throughout the course, with regular check-ins so you always understand where you are and how to improve.

This is supported by a dedicated Exams Officer, Rachael Worrall, who works alongside your teacher.

You also benefit from:

  • Weekly writing tasks with detailed feedback
  • IELTS Clubs and drop-in sessions
  • Help with exam booking and timing
  • Ongoing progress monitoring

This means you always have expert guidance and a clear direction.

3. Extra IELTS Support Sessions Every Week

You are not limited to your class time. You have multiple chances every week to practise, ask questions, and improve.

We offer a range of additional IELTS support sessions, including:

  • IELTS drop-in sessions for writing, speaking, and exam help
  • One-to-one appointments focused on your individual needs
  • IELTS Reading Club using real exam texts
  • Weekly writing assignments with detailed feedback

This gives you regular, structured opportunities to focus on the areas that matter most for you.

2. Fast, Purposeful Feedback with AI

You receive instant feedback and know exactly how to improve. You do not have to wait to understand your performance.

With Keenu, our AI-powered platform, you can:

  • Practise real IELTS speaking and writing tasks anytime
  • Receive instant band scores and detailed feedback
  • Clearly see your strengths and areas to improve

The key benefit is not just speed, but what happens next. Teachers use this feedback to guide you on what to do and how to improve.

This means your learning is focused, practical, and based on your real performance.

4. A Complete Library of In-House IELTS Materials

You are trained in every part of the IELTS exam, not just given practice.

We use a wide range of in-house materials, designed by our teachers to match our syllabus and the real IELTS exam.

These materials cover all four skills:

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Speaking
  • Listening

Every part of the exam is covered, so you are fully prepared.

Each resource helps you understand:

  • what the task is testing
  • how to approach it
  • how to improve your performance

You are also shown how to use these materials for independent study, so you can continue improving outside the classroom.
