There is a great selection of student accommodation in Manchester. Student residences offer students a more independent style of living while they are studying in Manchester. Student residences offer self catering accommodation sharing living space with other students. It is a great way for students to make friends and socialise with other students both from the UK and all over the world. Student residences are often quite large buildings which offer other facilities such as well as accommodation such a laundry room, reception and security services and games rooms/social areas.
Because Manchester is lucky enough to have four world class universities the city is very orientated to student living. Student life in Manchester is great! There is plenty to do and lots of events arranged especially for students. Manchester is popular with students from all over the world so the nationality mix here is great! The cost of living in Manchester is also lower than London so it’s a great student option.
Here at IH Manchester we work with several different residences to offer our students a variety of options. Student residences offer different accommodation options, en-suite bedrooms in shared apartments being a very popular option. Students have the own private bedroom with en-suite shower room. They then share a kitchen and living space with other students in an apartment. There is usually between 3-6 bedrooms per apartments. Most residences will supply bedding and kitchen equipment, but some don’t so it is always worth checking! If a residence does not supply bedding or kitchen equipment we can arrange to have a kitchen and bedding pack delivered to the residence for the student prior to their arrival.
Student residences are only suitable for students aged 18 and over and there is often a minimum stay of at least 4 weeks.

Riverside House
Riverside House is an all-inclusive first-class student accommodation. Our development stands overlooking the River Irwell and all 242 student rooms are en-suite, fully furnished and include bedding and towels – we know there’s enough to think about as a student! Clusters vary from 3 – 7 bedrooms with a fully furnished communal living space and fitted kitchen complete with appliance, utensils and crockery.
As you settle into your new home, your safety is our top priority. Security is included in your rent as standard meaning your new environment benefits from secure entry systems, CCTV and staff presence all day, every day.
Private en-suite room, shared kitchen and living area
Price includes: kitchen and bedding pack, all inclusive bills, high speed 30Mb broadband and Wi-Fi throughout the building

Dwell, 121 Princess Street
121 Princess Street offers luxurious apartments right in the heart of Manchester city centre, in a highly sought after location just off Oxford Road. 21 Princess Street is a highly-secure property, with advanced CCTV systems and fob entry system. The building boasts many exceptional features from its textile warehouse past, including unique circular windows. Inside the apartments, tenants will benefit from hyperfast Wi-Fi, underfloor heating and bespoke furnishings.

Dwell, MSV (Manchester Student village)
MSV is located just off Oxford Road, only a 5 minute walk from the city centre.
To help you relax after a long day studying, make use of our; free on-site gym, games area with PS4, pool and table tennis, and an outdoor space for you to bask in the glorious Mancunian weather. We also have a Residential Life Team who hold social gatherings, competitions and student wellbeing events.
Neptune is a medium sized bedroom, containing a small double bed, double wardrobe, shelving, study desk and chair.
It’s set within a 3, 4 or 5 bed flat, meaning you’d share the toilet/shower-room and kitchen with your flatmates.
All rooms have 60 MB Wi-Fi, which is included in your rent along with all other utility bills and contents insurance. This helps offer you hassle-free living, knowing your bills are already covered!

Dwell, The Grafton
The Grafton property is located just off Oxford Road and there is a free on site gym for you to take full advantage of, as well as an on-site supermarket, cafes and shops around the corner. We also have a dedicated Residential Life Team who hold competitions and student wellbeing events.
Situated in a 2 or 3 bedroom flat, you have private space studying and relaxing in your bedroom. You would then share the toilet/shower-room and kitchen with your flatmates.
Each room comes with a study desk, double wardrobe, shelving and a 3/4 bed along with access to a lovely balcony for you to chill out on. All rooms have 250 MB Wi-Fi, which is included with your rent along with all other bills!
