It’s too easy to get lost in a group lesson. Or you sometimes need to wait for a slower student.

Our group lessons are interactive, fast paced and effective, but sometimes you need more. You know where you want go and you know you need to improve English to achieve your goal.

You don’t have time to waste! You need to learn quickly. You want to push ahead. Private lessons will make things happen much quicker.

IH Manchester 1:1 classes at IH Manchester benefit students who:

Have specific English requirements related to their job or life

Are preparing for an exam like IELTS or Cambridge

Are learning English for specific purposes such as medical English or English for engineering.

Are either extremely high or low levels

IH Manchester provides high quality 1 to 1 lessons delivered by experienced, fully qualified teachers. Our 1:1s are overseen by a dedicated academic manager who ensures students lessons and course are well planned, engaging and useful.

Our 1 to 1s use a flipped format, meaning students are given work to complete before the lesson meaning more time with the teacher is spent checking, practising, and consolidating. Of course if students prefer a more traditional format, that’s available too.

To ensure your classes are tailored to your needs we:

Carry out a needs analysis to find out exactly why you want to improve your English

Write a personalized study plan for each student setting out learning targets

Conduct regular reviews of targets and progress

Have an academic manager on hand to answer any queries or concerns
