  If you’re visiting Manchester for the first time and looking for an English language school, I highly recommend this one. The teaching is excellent and easy to understand, and the staff are friendly. The service is great, and you get the chance to meet students from various countries and learn about different cultures. As someone who used to struggle with grammar, I’ve seen significant improvement since studying here and feel much more confident communicating while living in an English-speaking country. And I’m very grateful to the teachers here; they’re very patient and enthusiastic about helping students.

  My experience at IH Manchester was excellent. I took an intensive English course with five hours of lessons a day, and I am very happy with both the quality of the teaching and the support I received. The teachers were excellent, the classes were engaging, and all the staff were friendly, helpful and genuinely attentive to the students’ needs.

The school also organises social activities, trips and events, which give students the opportunity to practise English outside the classroom, explore Manchester and meet people from all over the world.

I came to Manchester to improve my English, but I am leaving with so much more: greater confidence, international friendships and many wonderful memories. At IH Manchester, we use a communicative approach in our English courses. This means students learn useful words and phrases together and then practise using them in real-life situations. This helps students speak more naturally, listen with more confidence, and improve their English for study, work, and everyday life.

We want students to understand English grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, but most importantly, we want them to be able to use English in real situations. In every lesson, students have the chance to learn new language, practise it in different situations, and leave the classroom ready to use English outside school.

As well as speaking and listening, we also help students improve their reading and writing. This gives students the skills they need to communicate confidently in English.
